Course Description
This course has been especially designed for non-native language professionals who would like to reach native-like fluency in Greek language in a variety of subject domains for translation or interpreting purposes. GREEK FOR TRANSLATORS/ INTERPRETERS is the ideal course for all linguists who work with Greek language. It is a flexible and fully personalized online workshop in order to meet the students’ requirements and study goals. Highly qualified native Greek instructors with long-term experience in translation industry facilitate terminology research in Greek and guide non-native language professionals who translate the Greek language into English, French, Spanish and German.
Recommended level of Greek C2.
Recommended 10 or 20 lessons according to the student’s personal needs.Course Structure
A series of private or semi-private (suitable for up to 2 persons) lessons customized according to the students’ specific needs. Every lesson includes an insight in Greek terminology and main focus on the subject domain chosen by the student each time for further vocabulary analysis.

Lessons Content

A glossary containing all the most relevant words and phrases from each lesson to practice and improve Greek terminology any time.
Videos and audio files containing industry-related scenarios in real life with native Greek speakers to practice and improve conversational skills and build self-confidence while translating and/ or interpreting Greek language.
Presentation of useful cultural elements and tips to know before translating and/ or interpreting Greek language.

Online Course has been designed for?

Linguists who have Greek as a working language in the following working pairs: Greek into English, Greek into French, Greek into Spanish and Greek into German.
Language professionals, both translators and interpreters, who want to refresh their C2 level of Greek language knowledge into specialized subject domains.
Language professionals, both translators and interpreters, who translate and/ or interpret the Greek language and want to attend an adaptable and tailored to their requirements language training session for further professional improvement.
Non-native translators and/ or interpreters who want to develop confidence while translating and/ or interpreting specialized Greek terms, related to any subject domain, into English, French, Spanish and German.
